The graphics are nothing to write home about, it is very basic arrow instructions, so no 'maps' as such. The voice guidance is quite good though and you get directions while listening to radio/CD, as it actally turns the music down and then gives directions, unlike the Garmin, which connects to my radio via FM, but then its only nav and no radio, unless you play MP3 through the Garmin! I've yet to find a good mounting spot for the Garmin too and its a pain to remove it every time you get out of the car. Now also have upgraded the firmaware with a custom on that displays cameras and warns me before, also has 'night mode', so had to modify the image to include the cam POI. But yes, it does indeed work. To any1 who needs the idrive disks, i have got a 2008 idrive DVD. Can rip and upload.
